Learning Methods

Much of the learning is achieved through teaching, but there is also group work, practical exercises and assignments. We recognize that students differ in learning styles, work and other time pressures, motivation and desire for development. Each student is encouraged to achieve his/her best potential, whatever educational background he/she may have.

Learning Tracks

Students may choose to follow either of the following study tracks, depending on their personal goals and time availability:

Alpha Track: Gives a pathway for development of a student’s Christian life, encouraging the expansion of knowledge, understanding and skills whilst requiring minimum work outside the lectures.

Omega Track: This leads to the Christian Academy Certificate, on completion of 5 modules, providing a basis for a lifetime of Christian service and potential leadership. Completion of home assignments and end of module sheets is required.

Students are assessed through assignments and end of module tutorial sheets, and receive an overall module mark at the end of each module. Students must have completed the assignments for at least 5 of the 6 modules in order to gain the diploma.
